My name is Francine Coker, and I grew up in the Caribbean Islands- Jamaica, raised by mother and grandmother. I moved to the United States of America at age 11. My parents thought I would receive a better education and opportunity to grow when moving. I completed my bachelor's degree in 2014 at Florida Atlantic University in Business Marketing and Hospitality Management. After graduation, I worked at a Fortune 500 company for a year and didn't feel fulfilled. I went back to Florida Atlantic University to study International Business. It took me three years to complete my MBA due to finances. In 2016, I received an opportunity to work as an Admissions Recruiter at Florida Atlantic University and received a promotion after two years to become the Assistant Director for Campus Life. I am currently studying Public Administration at Florida State University and hope to change career fields once I complete this degree.
